I've been waiting + [시간] + for + [기다린 대상]	무언가를 하기 위해 얼마나 기다렸는지 표현하는 문장
I've been waiting + [시간] + to + [기다린 일]
I've been waiting forever to meet you.	당신을 만나기 위해 평생 기다렸어요.
I've been waiting so long to try this[it].	이것을 맛보기/해보기 위해 되게 오래 기다렸어요.

 

🔹I couldn't hear a thing. 

I couldn't hear a thing.	아무것도 듣지 못했어요.
couldn't + [] + a thing.	전혀 []하지 못했어요.
I couldn't do a thing.	아무것도 하지 못했어요.
I couldn't understand a thing.	한 마디도 알아듣지 못했어요.
